Hi NikhilGolani

Thanks for sharing your profile and MBA aspirations
My name is Shimri Winters, I head the strategy team here at ARINGO

You have a very interesting profile! Why are you considering waiting for 2023/2024? You should apply this year before you are “too old” 😊

Academics – great undergraduate. Did you take the CFA or other accountant certifications?

GMAT - Well, 760 is great, doesn’t get much better than this!

Extracurricular activities – I love both your hobbies and very happy to see you have some volunteering too?

Work Experience – nice career progress, nice brands (Deloitte especially) GREAT!

School wish list – your profile fits both top 20 US schools or any top 5 UK school. I suggest going for both and seeing where you get into (and with a scholarship)

All in all, sounds like you have a solid profile! Happy to help further with a detailed review and perhaps work together on some amazing apps if you send me your CV and any other info to Shimriw@ARINGO.com

Thanks for sharing further details. My name is Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO.

Having 3 promotions is good and shows your excellence at work. For international experience, in case you have worked with international clients/projects/teams-that also counts (in case not, it is still alright 😊). You have a good case in the mentioned school list.

3. do you find my personal story strong and compelling enough?
4. I want to join AgriTech startup soon after my MBA and pursue my entrepreneurship career later down the line in AgriTech itself.
I am not sure if school will find ’join AgriTech soon after MBA suitable (because generally tech company comes into campus but not specifically tech company that works in agriculture sector) or Shall I still present this as my short term goal in my SOP? If so, how do I make sure it doesn’t look odd in the face of the AdComs.

Hi NirupaD,

Thanks for sharing your profile and MBA aspirations.

My name is Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO.

You have a very interesting profile! From what I can see:

Academics – good GPA. Good luck with your GMAT attempt!

Work Experience –You have a very different experience which is good! You have worked in a Fortune 500 company, Freelance in a Start-up, and co-founded a socio e-commerce start-up- AMAZING!

Extracurricular activities/Volunteer Work – Schools look for a well-rounded profile. Mention more about your hobbies and interests.

Your career goals – It is good to see you have a well thought out career plan but it is a bit niche owing to ‘Agritech’ sector.

School list – M7, Haas, Yale, Duke Fuqua, Tuck, Ross, Said, Judge, NYU Stern, INSEAD, HEC Paris, ISB, Babson

Answer to your queries:
a) GMAT plays an important role and that is still speculative here. Also, Agritech is not a very common concentration, so you can also look at schools that are known for entrepreneurship or tech courses. Schools with a strong alumni network will help you achieve your career goals.
b) Your work experience is your strength. The narrative should involve your learnings and the impact that you wish to create. For weakness, we do not see anything in extra-curricular. Try including the same appropriately. Also, ensure quantifying wherever possible in your CV. :)
c) Yes, the story is good but as said it is too specific. We need to also think on the lines- Why this school?
d) We suggest sharing your CV with us so that we can plug in the gap between your goals and the virtue of the schools.

All in all, sounds like you have a good profile! If you send me your CV once you are done with your GMAT on PRIYANKAK@ARINGO.com, I would love to connect you with our CEO who will be happy to help further with a detailed review and perhaps work together on some amazing apps.

All the best. :)

Hi AlphaKilo,

Thanks for sharing your profile and MBA aspirations.

My name is Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO.

You have a very interesting profile! From what I can see:

Academics – good percentile in B.Tech. We would like to understand both - the reason behind the second MBA and more details on the executive education for multiple global schools (are they certificate courses?). Micro-master from MITx is a good example of continuous learning.

Work Experience –You have rich experience including leadership and international exposure. We would love to see your resume to understand your employer, career progression, roles and responsibilities, the impact of your work, achievements, etc. 😊

Extracurricular activities/Volunteer Work – Dance school with partner + Community work 6 NGOs- WOW!

Schools & GMAT- Well, your GMAT is just at par with the class average of Judge and Said but Kellogg’s class average is 730+ so that will be a bit of stretch. So, if you think you can improve, a retake will definitely make your profile stronger. In case this is the best that you can get, the score is decent enough to try in both Judge and Said. Also, we will be able to give better insights once we have your CV and clarity on your career goals.

All in all sounds like you have a very good profile! If you send me your CV and other info on PRIYANKAK@ARINGO.com, I would love to connect you with our CEO who will be happy to help further with a detailed review and perhaps work together on some amazing apps.

All the best. :)

My name is Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO.

You have a very interesting profile! From what I can see:

Academics – Strong GPA in both the courses – Good. And studied in International exchange program- Wow! We see that you have already done an MBA. We would like to know the reason behind the second MBA.

Work Experience – Your career trajectory is quite impressive and your performance ratings show your excellence at work! Your international experience is another point that makes your profile stronger. Also, as you have worked in both a start-up and an MNC- you must be having good stories for your essays!
