Hi pate13,
Taking CATs (or any type of long-form Test) so close to Test Day (or so close to another Test) is almost always a BAD idea. The process of taking a FULL CAT and attempting to maximize your performance requires a rather considerable amount of focus and energy; by extension, it takes time to 'recover' from that type of exertion.
As a general rule, we've always advocated no more than 1 CAT per week, with that 'down time' between CATs spent on reviewing the CAT, general review of concepts, additional practice, etc. A CAT is essentially just a 'measuring device' - the same way that a scale measures weight, a CAT (when used correctly) measures GMAT test-taking skills. Taking a CAT won't make you a better Test Taker, but it will point out your strengths and weaknesses. With that information, you can then do additional work/practice, then take another CAT later on to measure your progress.
