You will get an email by 5 pm EST that your status has been updated and then you need to login to SISS portal to check. I am an R1 wait list and thats what they followed last time.



I'm a R1 waitlister too and I just checked my email from 12/20. I got the email notification of a change to my status at 6:14 PM. The way I remember it for R1, they called all the admits first, sent out all the ding emails, sent out admitted emails, and saved the WL emails for last. I haven't gotten a call and I doubt I will be getting off the WL this round but today is a lot less painful for me than R1.

Good luck to everyone and congrats to those who have gotten the call.

My SISS portal in "Application status & quick links" tab has got a third tab "Decision Not Ready".. Kind of excited that i may be on the waitlist.. (Anyday better than a ding..) Anybody else seeing the same thing???

So how the hell do we get off waitlist, assuming "decision not ready" means waitlist

mine also says decision not ready. i don't know what it means but i don't think so many people can be on the waitlist as then it would be counterproductive.

Ding ding ding ding ding!
I viewed Duke not as a safety by any means, but it was an alternative option for me, and I think that was ultimately my downfall as it likely showed in my essays. Best of luck to everyone else, and congrats to all the admits!

I was told that if you were waitlisted first round and stayed on the waitlist, you won't be notified of anything at all... If I knew how to get off the waitlist, I probably would have done so myself, so no help there. But might provide some clarity to anyone looking for it if they don't hear.

Was also told that this year (as seemingly is the case with every school), they have seen a much stronger applicant pool than ever before and as a result are waitlisting more people to see what their yield is like.

Hey Squig19,

Do you have any info regarding this "Decision Not Ready" thing? What are we supposed to think? I can see people both getting dinged and being put on the waitlist.. But then is this the final decision for today or is it going to change soon for us?
