Hi all

Am curious to know how do colleges view a candidate who has given multiple gmat attempts? My score has increased from 600 to 640 to 680 and am planning to give another attempt soon. Does this portray my dedication to gmat or does get viewed negatively?

Schools officially say that they only look at the final score, but even if they don’t, it is very common for applicants to have more than one score, so you would hardly be the only one in that situation. Therefore, I would not worry about that at all if I were you. Just get the very best GMAT score you can!

Hi all,

Thank you for your responses.

I, however, did retake the GMAT but still landed up scoring a 680. My earlier split was Q50, V32 while the current split is Q48, V35.

I guess it makes sense to begin the application process with this score.

Having said this, is there any way I can get B Schools to look at the GMAT scores, quant and verbal, from different attempts?

Thanks!

Tough many believe in the averaging theory, I do feel that this cannot be denied that you are not giving up and showing persistence.

I wish you all the very best!!
