Well more than travel bans , I just got to know few people have to withdraw their application because of no or less funding available. Imagine scoring a 760 or 332 on GMAT/GRE getting into schools like cornell and then have to give up because financers cant't or don't wanna sponsor international people !
I'll have to say casting a wider net is necessary at this stage considering the certainties associated with the everyone everywhere

The deferral policy may not be announced quite yet. Many do not expect it to be anywhere near the same as last year. These MBA programs are under huge pressure to get back to normal particularly given the unit economics of an MBA student.
For what it's worth, there's talk that many international students will still have the virtual option. It's not ideal, but because the infrastructure is already in place from the past 3 semesters, it is possible to attend school while not physically being present.
So, I wouldn't count on a deferral. If you know which school are you planning to attend (or are deciding between some), I would just call the admissions office or appropriate department to understand your options. Explain your situation and they will hopefully be accommodating to the extent they can be!
