Marshall 2013 (USC) - Calling All Applicants

I noticed that everyone is talking about the admit weekend. Is there only the one admit weekend or are there other possible dates to go, and is the admit weekend the same thing for multiple days or are there different activities each day?

Could I possibly also get the facebook link as well?

The Admit Weekend at the end of the month will be the only formal event put on by Marshall for admitted students before orientation/classes begin in July. The event begins Friday 4/26 afternoon and runs through the evening as well as all day Saturday 4/27. Different activities will be held throughout the day over both days as there is quite a bit of material to cover.

This event is supposed to very informative and a lot of fun so I'll be looking forward to meeting everyone there!

That is correct. Orientation for international students begins July 22nd, orientation for ALL students begins July 29th with classes kicking off August 5th.

Refer to Page 1 of this thread for other important dates.

Hi all, just find this website and find so many useful info. I have also been admitted R2 but havent got the binder yet. I saw a while ago guys are talking about the recent decline of Marshall's ranking as well as the employment numbers. I'm also a bit concerned about this issue and would like to know anyone else's opinion on this. Also, do any of you have ideas as of how the class of 2014 are doing in their summer internship placement? That would be helpful to see if the new Career Director is indeed helping.

From my interview it seemed like it was. Also, apparently the employed at three months stat is also stacked against USC because we start and end school so early. Depending on who's doing the survey you have to have started your job by three months after graduation to be counted as employed and some larger employers that snag a bunch of MBA students start them all at the same time after the other graduations are done and there's been time for a move. So another month later and USC's stats look better.

(I can't speak for this myself, just what I got from my interview with an alumni)

From my understanding, Marshall is a fairly generous school when it comes to fellowships.

Marshall gives a full ride?!?! wow... i wish i could be at one end of that bargain :) those who were offered a full ride, a couple of rounds of drinks on our first social is on y'all! :)

Received the binder with $$ as well! Really excited.. and now a tough decision ahead. Mine came through the regular US postal service.

I spoke with admissions and they mentioned that those who lived further away would likely be receiving the binder today.
