Out of college I worked my way into a position as a Territory Manager for a consumer goods company, in which I managed sales for the entire east coast. Within five months of employment my territory was the most profitable in the country. I also identified an opportunity to decrease spending and increase profit, and successfully implemented a nationwide strategic territory realignment. After 10 months I was given the added responsibility of interviewing candidates and training new hires.
Hi, Having closely worked with people in Sales related roles I thought I will initiate a conversation here. Although I am from a geographically different region(India), most of your points make sense to me and I see your profile as a great one to take you ahead on your MBA journey. While the academic background is important, what makes more sense to a B-School is a holistic profile. The number and action-oriented points you have mentioned about your roles with the organizations are good enough to get you to a Bschool of your choice. I would suggest that you should go for a high GMAT score to give greater confidence to ad-com of your target Bschool on your academic capabilities.
There are quite a lot of good resources available here on GMATclub. You just need to be searching in the right forum.
I wish you all the very best in the pursuit of your goal and hope you reach your target school sooner than you think.
Thanks.
