Hello All,

Can anyone please share their experience of GMAT's new exam format? Did it help choosing the section sequence? How does the new initial tutorial on GMAT look like now?
I downloaded the GMAT prep software a few days back but it still has the old format. Not sure whether GMAC has updated the software yet.

Hi br245,

GMAC has updated the software - make sure to uninstall and reinstall should you still be having issues. This is somewhat of a personal issue, and many different users have different thoughts - culminating in a "do what works best for you approach".

Some preach that you should stay with the original format, given that it's a good way to calm the nerves of taking the test through completing the comparatively less important sections of the test. Some believe that you should start with Quant or Verbal, depending on which one is your weaker area - allowing you to give full energy where you are weakest. Some also believe everyone should start with Verbal, as it will ease you into the test (similar to the AWA/IR) while allowing you to focus on a very important section with full energy.

I would recommend trying a couple different ways to see what works best for you. Best of luck in your prep!

Hi k1414,

Thank you for the information. I will install the latest version and check. Even I think trying different things before the actual test will help understand which sequence will work for me. Thanks :)
