On the number line, if r > s, if s is halfway between r and [#permalink]
I plotted u, t, s and r on the number line, plugged in random values and then used those values to solve all the equations.

u...................................................t.....................s.....................r

Let u = 2, t = 8, s = 11, r = 14.

The above values are chosen keeping in mind that:

1) t is halfway between u and r
2) s is halfway between t & r
3) r > s

If we use the values from the number line, only option E gives us 1.
