It looks like this month the MGMAT books wiped everyone else out.

In terms of strategy, what would you guys suggest for someone just starting out to study the GMAT? I heard Princeton Review is the best for beginners. After understanding the test, I heard that people move onto Manahattan GMAT. Any thoughts?

Dear testme475

Here are a couple collections of book reviews ----

1) https://magoosh.com/gmat/2013/gmat-book-reviews-2013/
This is a general review, good and bad. You can read my review of the Princeton Review book here.

2) https://magoosh.com/gmat/2013/best-gmat- ... rces-2013/
This is just the cream of the crop.

I hope this helps.

Re: Top 20 Best GMAT Books on GMAT Club [#permalink]
BB,

Thanks for the list, and i am happy to know that i have studied from most of the above mentioned material. However, i was searching for more quant material to practice and lately came across "Total GMAT Math" by Jeff Sackmann. I got the information about this book and its material after reading from the following posts:-

total-gmat-math-jeff-sackmann-86892.html
gmat-hacks-quant-1800-questions-jeff-sackmann-90761.html
jeff-sackmann-s-quant-sets-vs-total-gmat-math-114206.html?fl=similar

and was about to make a decision on this book and its material, but today after reading this page, i am a bit confused.

"Total GMAT Math" is costly but its reviews seems to be good. Please help me in making the decision. Should i go for it ?
(I have all the MGMAT quant guides, and Kaplan work book)

Thanks & Regards
Vinni

Not right now. We have lost the ability to track books and book clicks. But we should get it back in the next few months.

Thanks for bumping the thread!

I'm studying for the GMAT and I went through a few books already let me know if you need help. Here is another idea, why not to use goodreads[dot]com to track books and share them with friends? I think you can create a GMATClub group to:
1. Reach more users even beyond GMATClub, who might join when they hear about it.
2. More organisation and follow up

HUh well buy some study guides. I like the Mnhattan GMAT books, and the Powerscore books on sentence correction and critical reasoning helped me a lot. Here's how I'd break it down in terms of what books to get:

Do we have a recent list? Thanks!

Dear David,
I'm happy to respond. :-)

I don't know that GC has updated this in a while, but in the meantime, here's a list of highly recommended resource:
https://magoosh.com/gmat/2013/best-gmat ... rces-2015/
and here's a slightly older blog that comments on many of the other, less recommended, sources:
https://magoosh.com/gmat/2013/gmat-book-reviews-2013/

I hope all this helps!
