24% of class is almost 60 students. since they haven't admitted many engineers in R1, I hope they send out admits to at least 40 in R2....

Well, I'm expecting one or two of the people in this thread. There aren't even 40 engineers in this thread. So, I'm sure the bulk of the engineers are either lurking or not on gmatclub.

i hope 3-4 from this thread... ;)
that would give me a real shot at getting admitted... a few have fared really well on the GMAT than I have...

Well, 700 or over and it comes down to things other than the GMAT. Haas FT is famous for saying they reject 50% of the people that get 750 or higher. I doubt the EWMBA has much of a different outlook.

In any case, I'm sure at least one or two of you engineers in this thread are going to get off the WL in this round. Hopefully more, but at least one or two. You guys have pretty strong profiles.

Some might get off the WL and some may get on it (me?) :)

Well, you might also just get admitted. When do you hear back from Stanford?

Since evening today, I have been wondering if I should have talked or done anything about my low verbal score... We'll know tomorrow if I should have...

As long as you came across as articulate in the interview, I doubt it'll be a problem.

Around 12 hours to go before we get a closure on most of our speculations...

More like 16. Don't expect a call until 2 or 3 pm.

I don't get it, why don't they start early in the day?
Its not as if they are revisiting their decision up until 2pm...

I'd do the same thing if I were them. If they call in the morning, all the office gets is calls from people who haven't gotten a call yet. Do it as quickly as possible and go home. Everyone else gets to wait until the actual decision date.

Well, then the easiest would be to just update everyone's status online. And call the ones admitted the next day to congratulate them. Isn't it?

It's a nice personal touch that's designed to increase their acceptance rates. You put a voice to the adcom and it's nicer than just getting an email. From their perspective it's probably also one of the more fulfilling parts of their job.

Try to avoid the vodka until tonight. I'm sure this will be one of the longest days in your life. :-)

one last Q packet before we start the day... how many folks do you think will be given admits today? Assuming the acceptance rate, R1, R3, etc...
