Guys, for the 250 word essays, are you guys simply answering the questions with detailed stories or are you also dedicating a portion of each essay to relate to how it is relevant to Booth or what might you do for Booth? 250 words seems rather short to squeeze both in.

Yeah, struggling a bit to tie Booth in a meaningful way, limited real estate, did manage to make brief mentions though.

Hi All,

I just have a question about the recommendations for Booth. I had added the recommenders quite some time back and it seems that they have not received the links.

I have written to the admissions team and hopefully it should be fixed.

I am planning to apply for R1 and the deadlines are very close. Would Booth be okay if the recommenders submit their recos a little later after 3rd Oct? (I know INSEAD allows an additional week).

Has any one been in this situation before?

I believe there is an option in the application to resend the link. I also think that booth will not allow for a late LOR. I think your application is not complete until all material is received. So if they don't submit it on time, your R1 app turns into a R2 app. This is based off of memory, perhaps someone can verify

In the Twitter chat the other day someone asked a similar question and the answer was that recommenders have 7 days after the round deadline to submit their files. The chat transcript may be posted on the website if you want to confirm.

Yes bdepp! I just verfieid and it seems to be correct! Thanks a lot for the information. I am a bit relieved to know that my recommenders have another week to submit their letters!

Good luck with your apps!
Cheers!

Submitted!!

The Status page still says GMAT score report not received, if we have designated chicago as one of our five schools when we took the exam then we don't need to do anything else right?

Thanks for any response

Hello guys,

Did someone manage to upload its presentation essay? Each time i click on upload and select my file, my screen freezes and nothing happens. I checked and my file is lighter than the 16MB limits so I really don't understand. Anyone encountered the same issue so far?

Thanks in advance ;-)

When I uploaded my PPT, it converted it to PDF and some of the graphics were lost. Do you think I should print each slide, scan it, and put it into one document? Or will the adcoms be looking at it in PPT format?

Sorry, I really don't know. You probably should ask the Admissions Office. Or you could convert to PDF on your own beforehand and then upload. There are many free PDF writers available on the internet.

Sorry, I can't be of more help. I don't want to give you the wrong advice.

Is anyone talking about "Why Booth" in the ppt slides? Since there is no career goals essay this time, does it make sense to put this on the slides? Need urgent suggestions.

You can certainly do that. As you know, the Booth powerpoint presentation question is a blank canvas, so you can put anything you want the Admissions Committee to know. In order for me to know whether I'd recommend it, I'd have to know what else is on your slides. I wouldn't throw answers to "Why Booth" in the slides if it doesn't seem like a logical part of the narrative that you want to tell in your slides. But I can definitely think of situations where the "Why Booth" question would fit in nicely in the slides.

Personally, I made an oblique reference to "Why Booth" in my slides, but addressed that more fully in my career goals short answer and my optional essay. You are right that there is no formal career goals essay, but Booth does ask you in the application form to write about your short term and long term goals, with a character limit of 700 characters for each.

Ok cool! It finally worked for me as well.

Do you guys know if self-reported TOEFL is fine for the moment or if they need the original score report ?

Thanks!;)
