Ankur, where to look for the applicant id. Is this the application number or something else. Because application no. is in 6 digits not 4. Is it that the last 4 digits have to be considered only?

Also one more small doubt, I read it in blogs that the criteria which ISB follows for admit is a consolidated/holistic score criteria. The bifurcation is somewhat like this
12th - 90%tile - +2; 80%tile - +1 else 0
Undergrad - 90%tile - +2; 80%tile - +1 else 0
GMAT - 760+ - +2; 680+ - +1 else 0
Work Experience (quantity) - 2 to 6 years - +2; else 0
Work Experience (quality) - +10 for highly relevant; +5 for relevant; else 0 {relevant means the application as a whole make some good quality work ex.}
Extra Curricular & others - good +5; else 0
Essays - 27

Total: 50 (max) {2+2+2+2+10+5+27}

This I saw while browsing. I don't know how far it is true. Also there is no mention of the interview marks in above. Just want to ask whether this is correct and if so, how much weightage interview has.

Thanks & Regards

I am sorry to say, but I have no clue regarding this criteria and bifurcation of marks.
If you have read it in some official blog, then consider it. Else better to forget it :)

I have written my application number for the last year.
This year the application numbers are something like 15xxxx
15 might mean for the year of graduation and the last for digits, the number of applicants.

Juts my observation though, nothing official in this.

Regards,
Ankur

Re: Calling all ISB Applicants - (2014 Intake) Class of 2015 [#permalink]
I was just curious to clear one very naive doubt. I believe that ISB PGP is not recognized by AICTE however it has AACSB accreditation. But if post PGP one wants to go for higher education like Ph.D. etc. in India or would like to apply to Government sector in India, will the fact that ISB PGP is not accredited by AICTE be a hindrance. Though recently Supreme Court of India has passed an order that AICTE is merely an advisory body. I have not seen the judgement, so do not know the real purport of it.

Also, whether any student of ISB PGP in past has gone on to do Ph.D. either in India or abroad. Because post PGP it is possible to work in private company where your talent and knowledge is valued not the paper degree, but for higher education etc. even the paper degree is required.

Just got curious.

Hi All,

I would be applying to ISB. Have scored 710 in GMAT, but I think I can score more. Hence, have booked for November 18th.

Good luck to all aspirants! :)

Guys, make sure that you check you online application rather than just relying on emails.
I have my interview scheduled for 17th (HYD) but havent received any mails so far.

I just came to know this after checking my online app. I could have been shortlisted days back but i just knew it today

That means more calls for applicants who chose Delhi as IV loc... More chances for you then :D

Hi all,

I have been called for interview tomorrow at 3:50 PM :-)

Is there any chance that adcom might postpone it to the next day? I see everyone's interview getting delayed by an hour. I have booked my return tickets for tomorrow night.

Based on the posts here, I reckon that the students have submitted their apps towards the end or whose IV location is delhi have received the interview invites first
Anybody who submitted theirs apps in August (like me) and have got an invite for IV in Hyderabad ?

I agree with you Adhithya. I submitted the application in the first week of September (though you have done it in record time I guess), and my Interview location is in Hyderabad. Looking at the post I totally agree that those who have submitted the application in nick of time have been called first. May be the ISB adcom wants to finish with those application first which have opted for Delhi. And those who have submitted in 11th hour might be impressive applications that have made through in first reading. Therefore, such a scenario. Or may be it is just and plain coincidence.

I have kept my fingers crossed. Waiting and praying for shortlisting.

We sail in same boat adhithya as of now....

my God ! this is stretching the ISB logic a way too much.

BTW there are tons of candidates like me who are sitting in delhi and waiting for calls.

I guess only 2-3 people from delhi have written here the calls they received. dont know why people think that delhi is getting more calls.

Ya biyania, you may be correct. I also believe that there are many candidates and it will take time for evaluation/scrutiny of application. I was just finding some logic in random facts. No offence meant though.

Hi Friends! A lot of us who are applying to ISB are on pagalguy and regularly keep sharing our experiences there. We've also maintained a spreadsheet there on which all the applicants keep updating their status ( interviewed, selected etc. ). It would be nice if you guys could also join the discussion on pagalguy.
