Earlier this week, Harvard Business School‘s Director of MBA Admissions and Financial Aid Dee Leopold announced that the first wave of interview invites to Round 1 applicants were heading out to roughly 800 lucky inboxes, with another batch of 150 to come on October 15th.

https://www.stacyblackman.com/2014/10/09 ... view-news/

On that date, HBS will also inform about 200 applicants via email that the admissions team would like to “further consider” their applications in Round 2. Applicants to the 2+2 program will be invited to interview on the October 15th wave as well.

October 15th is also the date HBS will “release” candidates who are not moving forward. “We hope that by doing this early, we are enabling this group to pursue other options sooner vs. later,” the director explains.

Finally, Leopold requests that applicants refrain from sending in any additional supporting documents. “We’ve designed an evaluation process that we believe is as thorough and fair as we can make it,” she says. “It’s not perfect, but it certainly is a process to which we dedicate a tremendous amount of care and concern.”

Anyone have a recommendation for a hotel? I'm going to stay for the weekend and do some touristy stuff with the girlfriend as well, but I don't want to spend a fortune ideally....

Nope, just doing one with a HBS '16 student. Also already had interviews with other schools which should help.

Congratulations to everyone who made it through!!!!

I interview quite a few people within the corporate and non-profit environment.

I did a blog post today on how I PERSONALLY prep for interviews. I hope it helps you on your journey!

I interviewed with Dee Leopold this past week. It went poorly... That's all I'll say.

Doubtful this person will share. We're all in competition now for limited slots!!

As for me, the more and more I think about it... the less and less I am feeling up about living in the NE again. I did my undergrad there and absolutely hated the area. I'm a west coast bug :)

Good luck to all. wonder if I should throw my hat into R2. I know quite a few people (like 15) that made it into HBS in the last 3 yrs so I might have access to people that knew what works...although by some of the comments here... i wonder how great the classroom will be.... there is def. some "i'm so awesome, i Belong at HBS, let's keep the riff-raff out" that keeps popping up on this thread.

Why not? You can't take competition that seriously, otherwise no one would ever give advice in a community like GMAT Club. Just share and feel the good karma, you are competing with literally more than a thousand candidates man

Hahaha talk about collaborative!!!! I understand though, but it's not a "deathmatch" between all of us, I am pretty convinced there are "buckets" both by nationality/region and by industry/professional background .
