Archived 'Calling All Anderson (UCLA) Applicants' Topic
Hi there,
You've reached an old 'Calling All Anderson (UCLA) Applicants' discussion which is now
outdated and has been archived. No more replies are possible here.
Welcome to everyone applying to UCLA Anderson FEMBA (Fully Employed MBA) program! Use this platform to know each-other, build network, exchange ideas/information, discuss application strategies, share interview /school visit experiences, and boost one-another's morale to face the tough admission process.
Guys, I just updated the first post with admission deadlines of the current admission cycle.
I request you all to add UCLA FEMBA program to your MBA timeline so that the applicant stats displayed in the first post reflect true picture of admissions. While adding the program, MAKE SURE you are setting it for graduation year i.e. 'Class of 2020'.
For those people who are potentially interested in attending UCLA Anderson please see our website for our upcoming Embracing Diversity weekend. I can assure you that getting to experience a school first-hand adds depth to both essays and overall applications. We hope to see you there. Best of luck in the application process.
Is anyone at a point of writing the first essay or have already written shed some light on how to approach it. I have done the second essay, but just started with the first "I am unique because ...".
I know this should relate to professional stuff rather than personal, but what aspect. Anybody on the same boat?
Start with understanding your values, and then come up with anecdotes to illustrate those values and then show how those values resonate with those of UCLA.

I'm actually located in the Bay Area and can't attend any events in the LA area. I've been trying to find current students to connect with just to get a sense of the program and maybe get a few questions answered. I was wondering if I could shoot you a pm. Also, unfortunately, the FEMBA program doesn't have any student ambassadors liek the full time program does. Would you know of a way to contact more current students? I was thinking of emailing admissions for their help.
Eagerly awaiting R1 decisions. Has anyone heard anything yet? I'm wondering if they'll just start notifying folks next week since the FT Deadline was just this week!
I've been nervous as hell the past couple of months, mostly due to me realizing how badly I want this. The Anderson FEMBA seems like one of the most comprehensive Part-Time options out there.
Good luck to all applicants and post here the moment you find out!

It looks like a lot of people got notified the day before the deadline last year. Good luck to you too!
