Stonecold,
Rankings have a tendency to fluctuate, but the employment statistics for BC remain strong. In the last US News ranking the starting salaries were $103k and percent employed in 3 months was higher than several top 25 schools. Also, for the US News specialty rankings BC was ranked #12 in finance and #16 in accounting. In the Financial Times rankings – BC was highlighted as the “highest riser” last year and rose more spots than any other program.
If you are attending business school, you want to attend a school with a strong parent brand, loyal alumni network, and good career prospects. BC delivers on all of those things.
Thank you so much For taking time to reply to out Queries.
You make a valid point.
I have another Query.
Why is it that => Even though carroll is not in top 45 colleges => Its Average Gmat Score for the accepted students is a bit higher than those colleges in the mid 30-35 range.
Also,Can you tell a little bit more about the global opportunities at Carroll.
GMAT is just one consideration of the application. If you are worried about your score, you can compensate with strong work experience, recommendations, etc.
I was a domestic applicant, but I have international classmates working for good American companies like Amazon. One thing to be mindful of is some US Companies do not sponsor visas, but this will be an issue for all US Schools. Boston College has a strong brand reputation in the US and you will have opportunities.
If by global opportunities, you mean study aboard there are trips to Peru & China (Consulting) and London (Finance). There are also the TechTrek trips to West Coast companies (Apple, Google, etc).
Good luck to everyone interviewing!
