Hey everyone, I have an interview scheduled for this Friday and I would like to confirm whether or not the interviewer will be familiar with the entire content of the application (namely, the creativity statement), or will it mostly be a blind interview?
Thanks alot!
Congrats on getting an interview
gnatrymmk! You ask a good question: the answer is that it is not, to my knowledge, a blind interview. But there's no clear indication of the interviewer's level of familiarity with your application. Your interviewer will likely have reviewed your resume, but perhaps not your creativity statement. It's entirely possible that the application reader who looked at your creativity statement and other materials to determine if you should get an interview, might not even be person who interviews you. Looking back on it, I'm not sure there was any part of the interview that drew upon my creativity statement in any form.
That said, to be completely honest, it truly doesn't matter either way, since the interview is only 30 minutes long and is dominated by the case presentation portion. If you haven't already, definitely give my full debrief on the Cornell Tech interview a read:
