The phrase "so...as..." goes only with negative sentences. Hence option A is wrong.

AS...............AS is the correct idiom.

Wrong idioms in GMAT are:
not so ...............as
so..............as
as.............that
so many............as

Does option 3 makes logical sense?
I don't find any option logically correct. Please provide an explanation to the correct answer choice.

I also hesitated to choose 3 because of the word "anything". Can one say "as good as anything he has done before"? Does the sentence make any sence?

I came across the same question in the free 'Idioms Test' on GMAT Club and it considers option E to be correct. Could anyone please help me resolve the ambiguity?
