Essay A: What matters most to you, and why? For this essay, we would like you to reflect deeply and write from the heart. Once you’ve identified what matters most to you, help us understand why. You might consider, for example, what makes this so important to you? What people, insights, or experiences have shaped your perspectives?
Essay B: Why Stanford? Describe your aspirations and how your Stanford GSB experience will help you realize them. If you are applying to both the MBA and MSx programs, use Essay B to address your interest in both programs.
LENGTH: Both essays combined may not exceed 1,150 words. We recommend up to 750 words for Essay A and up to 400 words for Essay B. We often find effective essays written in far fewer words.

We're getting so many questions about COVID deferrals (across all programs) that I just did a podcast episode dedicated to it, drawing from the insights of our full staff (many ex-adcoms). It's episode 11 of B-Schooled, if your'e interested! (On all podcast apps.)

Stanford is now offering deferrals to those who need a visa to travel to Stanford
Any idea on how this will affect Class of 2023 applicants? less seats ?

Hi, does anyone know what happens when you unsubmit an application? Do you have to start from scratch? And do you have to pay the application fees again?
Here is the countdown timer to Stanford's Round 1 deadline. How are you all doing on submitting your applications on time? Did anyone else get an application fee waiver on submitting?

Hello,
As the deadline for R1 was on the 15th of Sept, I couldn't find anything related to when we will hear back from the admission office of whether we will get interviewed, waited listed, or denied. The only thing available at the GSB website is that interviews will be scheduled mid-Oct to late Nov, but they did not mention anything about sending out emails to applicants telling them about their application status.

I received an email on 22th with additional info on the next steps. Interview invitations will be sent on a daily basis from 12th Oct to 12th Nov. If you have applied for R1, I think you should have received the same email.
