1st step is GMAT
4rth March? when is the dead line for applying?
May 1st the classes start in Ryerson
If career shift is what you want , then decide what kind of career u want to get into.
Then find the program associated to ur choice of career. Find the top universities in that program and then apply in few of those selecting based on economic/brand/qualitiy of education etc
If Ryerson has a program which fits ur need, get mid 600 score in Gmat and u r through.
Job will not be an issue ever. U will get the job, the challenge is finding a job which u would love doing.
Anyway, do ur research, u will find more results. Score 650 and be safe.
Yes 4th of march but i will be applying for Sept session and July 3 is the deadline but i will be applying way earlier.
I wanted to go for consulting but i was told that consulting means a lot of travel so now im left with either of these - sustainability/strategic management
-U will get the job, the challenge is finding a job which u would love doing. - elaborate a bit please
Also for the recommendations - they need to be from a senior or any colleague can do it?
as per few friends who r there, getting a job is not that tough. Although getting a high paid one in the field where u really want to work, with correct brand name and in the location of ur preference.
without a degree u can land 10.5 $/hour job in toronto.
weeken jobs of accounting or economics related, u can expect 21 $/hour
with 20 hours/week on ur student visa to work. u can earn 1700$ a month
with work permit, the hours just get double, so does money= 3400$/month
with start ups opening and more and more people coming to canada, the customer base increases exponentially and thus a brand new requirement of managers every quarter to take care of them.
since people are coming from different ethnic group, managers with international experience are given greater benefit.
so if part time accountant gets 3400$/month, i can atleast expect double for a manager who may end up taking care of dozen of such accountants and customers as well
so 6800 $/month
compromise a bit on money, get a work whivh suits u, along with other things and u can bring the salary down to 4700 to 5500$/month.
this is my personal thinking, i may be wrong
