Hi - Is there any place in the form where I can add Alumni reference ( Apart from evaluator)? A friend told me it used to be there till last year but I can't find it this year

Hi Alumni referrals used to add some points(I am not sure of the exact weightage though) to your profile some time back. This year, there is no such arrangement and hence no place to put details.

Hi Guys,
I recently got to know ISB has launched a new R3 this year. I discussed this with few alums. One of the alum suggested this a scary thing for any school. As per him this shows that the school has not been able to generate the kind of interest it expected and to lure more candidates it is launching a new round.
He was also of the opinion that this will have no major impact on the quality of students as serious top 1200 candidates would have anyway applied.
Most of the US schools have seen a huge dip in interest and schools in all the other geographies have been benefited with an increase in % of applicants. I was quite surprised after seeing this new development as it questions the demand for the school. Would love to know the opinion of the people on this thread.
With many IIMs are now offering 1 year MBA programs, good alternatives for ISB have certainly increased, but I don't think that'd reduce the demand for ISB given the high reputation, prestige, and strong connections with the industry ISB has and that too when the number of applicants interested in 1 year MBA is increasing continuously. I think there could be another reasons for starting R3.
Jumping late into this party and the conversation may now be obsolete, given its 15 days old. My understanding is, they messed up their application deadlines. For several years now, they have done mid October (R1) and mid January (R2). This year they did Mid September and mid Decmber. Applicants were not ready with GMAT scores et al, with no dates available (a lot of them also apply to US b-schools and take their GMATs during the Holiday break). That's why they allowed applicants to submit GMAT scores late in R1 cycle.
I think its got nothing to do with demand, but more of a logistical mishap. From what I have heard, ISB has had extremely successful placements this year, which testfies the school's reputation.

I am a round 2 applicant (15th dec 2018). Chartered Accountant Experience: 03 years 4 months so far. (02+years at Credit Suisse IBD, 01 year at a VC fund). Plus, I have substantial community work on my profile. GMAT: 660 I haven't heard from them as yet. Does this mean its a reject for Class of 2020 for me ?

It depends on your location. Hyderabad and Mohali interview invites are yet to roll out I think
