Is ISB accepting GMAT Online Score?

Can anyone please send across the documented reference for the same?

gmat1102, yes, GMAT Online is accepted. This news was confirmed in one of the webinars I attended, however, I do not have a documented reference to support the fact. Maybe elPatron434 can help in this regard.

How is everyone feeling about their applications? It's going to be incredibly competitive this year due to lesser seats than usual combined with higher volume of applications (historically) during periods of economic downturn.

Hey everybody, just wanted to know your opinion/experience: What are the chances for a person having-
1.A good and consistent academic/professional performance throughout University/work/GMAT
2. No over the top extra curricular (nothing very impactful and no major achievements, but definitely did participate in a lot of things like lead clubs or committees)
to make it to ISB or any top Indian bschool?

Hi All, I wanted to know about the process of getting recommendation for ISB. Specifically, is the email sent to the evaluator when the "evaluation" section is saved in the application, or only after the entire application is submitted? Also, Is there a way in our applicant logins to know if the recommendation is submitted by the evaluator? Thanks in advance.

Hey aditya01512,

I had a similar query. My evaluator told me yesterday that he had submitted the recommendation.

I just opened the Application of ISB to see the status, 'Evaluation received by ISB' in the Evaluation section. So, this is the way to confirm if the recommendation is submitted by the evaluator.

Hi,

I have a query regarding the evaluation submission. So, my evaluator was my team head (Associate Creative Director and a part of the senior leadership team) and now he has shifted to the client side, just last month.

So, should I mention him as a mentor/ senior colleague or leadership/ previous supervisor or supervisor? I am really confused on this. It would be great if someone could help me out here.

Thanks so much!

You may approach your department head. But please ensure that the email is a work email. In the event that you anticipate him not having a work email ready by the deadline, reach out to the school if they would deem an personal email valid

Thanks for a quick reply, elPatron434!

Yes, the evaluator has a work mail id; just that I work at an Advertising & Marketing agency currently and he used to be my team head (ACD and senior leadership member
). He has recently shifted to the client side. So, technically, he is no longer my team head but he is still associated with our organisation through that client.

Hi Good folks at GMAT club

I applied for ISB last year(R3). I was rejected after interview and am planning to apply again, showcasing the improvement I have made since interview.
I actually wrote the best possible essay I could last year, and I still am convinced that it tells my story concisely and precisely. Not that I mind writing again but in my head I don't want to touch something that is not broken and says the same story of Why MBA and Why me.
Can someone help me and suggest, if I should submit the same Why MBA and Why you essay or should I write it again?
To showcase what has changed, I will utilize my 3rd re-applicant essay. My goals and reasons for MBA have not changed, so is it worth putting the same wine in new bottle? As wine is all about taste than bottle.

Thank you!

Hi vaibhavkumar98,

The admissions committee evaluates your profile as a whole. So coming to the conclusion that you did not make the cut just because of your interview would be short-sighted in our opinion.

We would love to review your profile and essays that you submitted last year. Please DM us for the same and we can take it forward from there.
