Current role : Senior developer
Position : Associate consultant

I am a middleware specialist working on IBM integration products. Most of my experiences are around Digital Banking, which is why i have worked with major financial clients from across the world.

If you bring this out well in your essays, you have a decent shot at ISB.
Of course, don't let that hold you back from aiming for a high score (700+ in your case).

You can apply, and there are some other strengths in your profile for sure, but with the tech background a 700+ is recommended.

Your work experience and your post MBA goals are well aligned. You have got some good grades in the academics. The work experience is also rich with huge post MBA market demand.

The only issues as of now is GMAT, if you are solely targeting ISB. Do try to achieve GMAT score in the range of 670+ for a more realistic chance of converting ISB (Which is achievable in one month). Do remember GMAT is just a part of whole application process.

At the top of that your work experience is in digital banking domain which is the most sought after post MBA job profile. Any score of more than 680 and you are definitely in.

Just highlight your other than work achievements in an interesting manner and you will be great.

Your work profile is interesting. Product management work experience will help you find many takers in job market post MBA and colleges will be aware of your high employability while considering your application. Work ex in Deloitte is always considered as a good experience.

The extra curricular and NGO activity add good shine to your application. ( Remembering the movie Pianist while writing this!)
Your target GMAT is enough although when you are targeting, you should aim for the best. With 680 GMAT score, you will require decent effort in your application with more personalized details to get through ISB admissions.

You have decent chances of getting admit. You have been a state topper and good at academics throughout your life. You worked for a PSU which in itself would have been a great achievement of the career. The way you have described the awards, I am confident you have many.

Gone are those days when profile is judged on age and martial status. In fact colleges look for rich diversity in their batch. Definitely, You would be one of the outliers when considered the average age profile and work experience. But, those who think out of box do end up as outlier and that exactly is your strength which you should highlight in the application.

Engineering (ECE) from a reputed tier-1 college - 82.4% - 2017 passout

Worked for 1.5 years in IP domain:
1. was working in reverse engineering mobile devices
Then switched to Big3 firms, working in Digital Transformation projects - 2 years here:
1. Working with Banking, PMP, Insurance clients to assess their digital capabilities

Extra-Curricular:
1. Have started a startup in college to teach students on various technologies like robotics, android, IoT, Python etc. Have taught 100+ students and generated a revenue of 1.5 lac in a span of 2 years. It's not a registered startup but have a FB page with 1500 likes. Also, made the startup sponsor the robotics fest of another college- I have proofs in pictures.
2. Corporate Head of College society - unfortunately I lost my certificate but i can talk about the experience of getting sponsors and my strategies.
3. Volunteer at IEEE college society
4. Won technical inter-college competions
5. CBSE award for being in top 0.1 percentile students in Computer science in class 12th
