Hi Sanjol,

It's okay to apply from a fresh id, but they will know you as a reapplicant since schools have your records. And it's okay not to have great changes in your profile as the time-lapse is small. Instead, you can focus on the aspects that may have led to failure last time and improve upon them.

Hope it helps!

Cheers!

I had applied to ISB last year R2 just out of curiosity and this year I’m planning to apply seriously for R1. There are no much changes in my profile, should I select the option of reapplicant?
Is it ok if I apply as a fresh applicant from a new email id?

3. GMAT: N/A (Yet to take GMAT by July-end, targeting 700 to 720)
Hi ManasiDp, since your GMAT is in the next 8-10 days, you should be utilizing your every minute, on GMAT preparation, than anything else.

Profile evaluation can wait for 10 days; GMAT score should be your immediate and utmost priority. Rest assured, your profile is otherwise decent Manasi; try to maximize your score at this stage.

Post MBA goal- Would very much like to work in management consulting,
Hi SagarJaiswal, this needs to be thought thru. With your experience, management consulting might be deemed slightly generic role.

Since you have extensive experience in TCS Financial services, wondering if FinTech would be a better fit.

Any specific reason for this fascination with Consulting?

Target 740 (Q50 V40)
This target score will do your aspirations a lot of favor 89KT96.

However, this 80 point jump in GMAT score that you are looking for, does not come easy.

Even if it takes you a couple of months of slogging, see how close you can get, to your target score.

Good luck!

Hi Experts,

May I request you to evaluate my profile for R1 at ISB?

10th - 10 CGPA CBSE
12th - 95.8% CBSE
Engineering (ECE) from a reputed tier-1 college - 82.4% - 2017 passout
Any discussion on profile, without a GMAT score, is a bit inconsequential Sajal12.

How are things looking like, on GMAT front?

Hello tusharc92

While most areas of your profile look pretty strong (Work experience shows potential, ECs are decent).
However, the GMAT score you are targeting looks lower to be confident of getting an interview call.
Considering your Career Goals (consulting) and past scores, I'll advise a 700+ to stand a decent chance.
Can it be done at 680? Sure, if you really present your story well showcasing a few spikes in your profile that can compensate for the lower than average GMAT score.
Can it be done at 650? Probability is very low.

You may want to read here on what factors work in a profile and here to add to your research on career goals.

Hi Mohitmi

Overall the profile looks good, no evident weaknesses.
Work profile, GMAT, ECs are all strong and diverse.
All you need to do is present well your 1) career goals 2) past achievements 3) tie with ISB.
No gyaan here, as long as you don't mess up the above 3, you have a strong chance.

Industry I want to go to Post-MBA, my preference is PM, Consulting, IB.
This needs to be thought thru dentalmba123, since your goals should be broadly aligned with your academic and professional experiences so far.

In any case, these can be discussed later. Your immediate priority should be on maximizing your GMAT score.

Hello,

Please evaluate my profile:

GMAT: 650
W.E.: 3 years
Employer: Big4 firm

Extracurriculars: Committee head for multiple committees at university level

Additionally, please note that due to toxic circumstances at work, I am considering leaving my current job without another offer in hand at present. If yes, please suggest how I should deal with such a circumstance in case this is brought up during interviews or otherwise.

Hi uzumakinaruto444, I understand things are not going great for you professionally, but your current score (650) isn't going to take you places :|

Also, leaving a job without any other job at hand, is definitely not a great idea from application perspective, since this might obligate you with the needless complication of explaining a professional gap in your career.

Ashish.
