Hello, I have a question regarding INSEAD’s Gmat evaluations, I got lower score in my first attempt because of the DI part (31st Percentile) but In my second attempt I got 615 with 89th Percentile DI, however my quant and verbal lowered in the second attempt. Should I share both scores or only keeping the best one? Thanks!

Agreed on points 1 and 2. And it’s also true that INSEAD asks candidates to submit all (historical) scores.
Reg point 3, could you please quote the source of this info i.e. AdComs (of any school) get all scores from GMAC regardless of whether the candidate submits them?

Hey,
It’s great that you’ve already worked on your DI section and brought it up to the 89th percentile that shows real effort and improvement. Since 615 is currently your highest score, that’s the one you should report to INSEAD. You can also use the optional essay to briefly mention your earlier attempt and highlight how you improved a specific weak area. That kind of self-awareness and determination is something INSEAD values.
That said, if you’re aiming for INSEAD, it may still be worth considering one more attempt at the GMAT, especially if you think you can balance out quant and verbal while keeping DI strong. A score closer to 650 or above can give you more confidence and reduce risk in such a competitive pool. If you decide to apply with your current score, just make sure the rest of your profile essays, goals, and experience is sharp and well-presented. Thanks for the response, but I need to respectfully clarify and quote the official source on point 3 reg. AdComs receiving all GMAT scores.
This was the case with the older GMAT (Classic) exam, where score reports typically showed all valid attempts within a 5-year period. However, with the introduction of the GMAT Focus Edition, the score reporting policy has changed.
Candidates now have control over which specific GMAT Focus Edition scores they send to schools. This means that AdComs will only see the scores that an applicant explicitly chooses to send from their GMAT Focus Edition attempts. They do not automatically receive all historical scores from GMAC.
A simple Google search sometimes leads to outdated information. For official confirmation, you can refer to the link below, specifically the "Sending Your Score" page, which clearly states: "Each Official Score Report you send to a program will only contain the Total and Section Scores from a single exam. No other exam scores from previous exams will be sent."

Hi MBAseeker11! That’s a meaningful jump in the DI section(from 31st percentile to 89th) that reflects both effort and potential. If your Quant and Verbal dropped slightly in the second attempt but not drastically, you may consider sharing both scores, especially if one version shows strength in areas the other doesn’t. That said, the admissions committee considers the highest score; you can share both the scores, and in such cases, applicants also provide an optional essay explaining the rationale behind test selection, particularly if different attempts show complementary strengths. This approach can be helpful if done briefly and constructively.
A 615 GMAT FE is on the lower end but not disqualifying, especially with strong work experience, leadership, international exposure, and clarity of goals. If you believe you can push the total score up with a retake (especially Quant or Verbal), that could be worth it, particularly if you’re applying for R1. Most schools start sending interview invites after the round deadline, not immediately after you submit. Timelines vary by school, but invites generally begin going out 2 to 4 weeks post-deadline, and they can trickle in over several weeks. For example, some schools like Wharton or Booth may release them in batches on specific dates, while others (like Columbia or INSEAD) might send them more on a rolling basis.
If you're within that window, don’t stress if you haven’t heard yet it’s very normal. And remember, no invite = not rejected, unless the school explicitly states otherwise.
