Interview Debrief of IIMK round 1 Interview :
Ours were on Zoom , so logically few things might differ logistically...
Started at 9:30 :
Firstly I was introduced to an ADCOM member, - he asked for a basic check on ID, and shown a video on the PGP-BL programme.
Asked if we have any more doubts on the programme or about college etc...
- To conclude this initial step is a warm intro to wat's coming upnext...
9:45:
Then joined other zoom link where I have 2 professors as my panel members
1st Question : What made you come here
2. Work-ex
3. Detailed examples of work-ex
4. Shortterm goal
5. What if I land up in some other industry
6. Explain Finance and banking industries(this is based on answer i gave for qn.5)
7. Why IIMK
Conclusion : Bit of grilling on Work-ex but they made me feel comfortable all through the time, its more of an interaction rather than an interview
Now the 2nd panel member :
1. Tell 5 investments in your homestate
2. Tell 5 people from your homestate who contributed to India
3. 5 women enterpreneurs from India
4. few more qns on similar general topics
Conclusion : For few qns i just answered 3 , honestly it's not about answeing right/wrong or yes/no it's about the thought process that went behind.
ex: 5 investments in your homestate : I gave a 1 liner on why this investment suits my state over the other.
Final question : You are given a project in a client location and you have to select 2 people who can accompany you, what kind of people you select, in like what qualities/things you seek in your teammates !
That's it ....
Few Words of Wisdom : "It is not Interview but more of an "Interaction Session"" & it is to see where they can select us.... not the other way round.
Good Luck to all of us : )
