Interesting. Maybe it's because you got money from them already?

Wait, did we have to self-nominate ourselves for fellowships? I thought they would consider everyone (and if you had any specific fellowship that may apply to you, you could let them know). Darn it, I didn't do anything...

I think if you wanted them to consider you for a specific one...you could let them know. I just asked them to consider me for the hc one...

I guess so? I only nominated myself for two, and those have already been awarded. Oh well!

How do you know the ones that have already been awarded? I also didn't receive any emails from Booth. Perhaps, they are only sending emails to those who self-nominated?

I think that might be the case. Also the emails seem to be customized to the fellowships you applied for. As in, my email mentioned that the health fellowship hasn't been awarded as yet but others' emails mentioned different fellowships that also haven't been awarded.

Oh - I read it on the google groups. Someone posted an email that said that ended with.. "all other fellowships have been awarded", so the ones I nominated myself for were on that group. I nominated myself and received no emails about updates, I think you only received a notice if you nominated yourself for a fellowship with a decision date that got delayed.

Thanks guys for the info! Now that I am in, I am starting to stress over how I am going to pay off big sum of student loan after I graduate. I also just didn't realize the expenses I would have to pay before I marticulate such as moving-out expense, traveling to Chicago, setting up a new place, random walks, etc.

I should've saved more wisely...

LOL. I can't believe you still remember that! But sadly, that is true. Forex got me good over the past 2 years.

Has anyone received an email confirmation or something about the Admit Weekend? I'm pretty sure I signed up, but haven't gotten anything from Booth in a while...

Yup I got an email on Friday confirming that I signed up as well as my cohort assignment...if you don't get anything by Tuesday evening, I'd give them a call to confirm they have you registered, etc.

I was wondering about that too, but after reading isa's note I checked my chicagogsb.edu email and it was there. I don't remember setting that as my default contact, but that's where stuff has been going. FWIW.

I fiddled around with my profile and somehow found a way to have all emails sent to the chicagogsb email address also sent to my gmail...not sure how I did that exactly.
