Hi,

here are HEC requirements for scores:

"candidates whose mother tongue is not English or those who do not hold a university degree from an English-speaking institution must show a minimum TOEFL score of 100 (ibt), a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or a minimum TOIEC score of 850."

Hi Rid82 and BB,

Cass Business School, City University requires TOEFL of 105, sourse: e-mail from school's MBA advisor.
Why it is higher than for most top business schools I do not understand. Last year required average TOEFL score was 100.

Average GMAT score required 650 and 620 current and previos year respectively. I will not apply to Cass.

Re: TOEFL Score Requirements for Most Popular Schools [#permalink]
Hi,

I have a question about "Candidates who received their bachelor's degree from an English-speaking university are not required to take an English language test (i.e., they are exempt)." (from Harvard website)

I am from Turkey which is not an English speaking country, but medium language of my university is English. I have had all lessons 100% in English at my university. So, do i need to take an English language test?

Also from LBS website;

You do not need to submit your test score if:

* your undergraduate or postgraduate degree was conducted entirely in English or in an English-speaking country (degrees must be two years or longer)

Your English will be continually assessed during the admissions process.

So what u guys think?

and from Stanford;

"Students without an undergraduate or graduate degree from a university at which the primary language of instruction is English must submit results of the TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE as well."

"Are you required to take the TOEFL-IELTS-PTE?

The following examples illustrate whether or not you are required to take the TOEFL-IELTS-PTE:

Fayza from Pakistan who went to school in Islamabad where the language of instruction at her university was English is not required to take the TOEFL-IELTS-PTE."

KNN2012,

it seems pretty self-explanatory but if you want to be sure I would contact the schools admission offices.

I think it is clear that you don't need to take TOEFL. Anyway, as bseb suggested, I would ask the AdCom, just to be sure.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is how most schools proceed but I know that some schools only require a scan at first. And then later, if you're admitted, they will ask you to provide an original hard copy report.

I scored 109 on my first attempt. I want to apply to top 10 Ivy League schools.
Should I retake?

Does an improvement from 109 to let's say 115 really matter?

I don't think it matters. I don't think they will ding/admit you because of the toefl score once you've reached the minimum. This in not like GMAT

Thank you for your answer.

I decided to retake only if I have some spare time left before deadline.
