just an FYI on windows7 Home premium 64bit OS, I had to show hidden content and then move Practice Test1.xact to get it to be 'not attempted' again, also I changed it from running on Windows 7 platform to run as Windows XP SP3 under properties in the GMATprep.exe

Also have a question about GMATPrep's accuracy.
I've got
quant: 50
verbal: 35.
total: 700

In quantitative part i made 10 (!) mistakes,
in verbal -- 13 mistakes
but still hit the magic 7.
Does it seem to be true?
Is it a proper estimation?
I thought that to get 700 you had to have no more than 5-7 mistakes in quant.
I know that difficulty level also affects the score, but...

That is very weird. I took Powerprep Test1. (Older Version of GMAT Prep)
Number of wrongs in both sections are exactly same.
Quant - 10 wrong
Verbal - 14 wrong

But my score is drastically low 570 (Q44,V24)

Cant comprehend my result. .... I expect it to little better , atleast 620+...

Hi All,

I have the same question, is there is any difference in the GMAT Prep tests, version v1 & v2? The reason I'm asking is because I took one of the tests from v1 (earlier version) a few days ago and I found the quants section to be too easy...I usually run out of time but I finished 12 minutes early which shocked me...!!! Is there any difference in the difficulty level of these 2 versions?

There were a lot of questions from number properties, which were quite easy, can anybody please tell me what they felt about the level of questions tested? Thanks for all your help!

Hi guys, I am sorry but I'm a bit confused : why is everyone speaking about resetting the GMATPrep tests since you can just click "no" when it asks you to start from where you stopped ?

I downloaded GMATPrep 2 months ago, so I guess this is the version 2, but where can I get version 1? I thought that there was only PowerPrep and GMATPrep (= 4 CAT), but if i'm right there's in fact 6 CAT.

One last question : is there a big difference between taking GMATPrep v2 a second time and taking GMATPrep v2 one time and then GMATPrep v1 one time ?

Thank you

I was able to download the GMAT Prep course on winebottler but could not navigate to the next screen on the quant portion of the exam. How were you about to navigate through the next screen from question to question? On the writing assessment portion of the exam I had to click on the next icon and hit the space bar to move on to the next page but there is no next icon on the quant portion. Really appreciate the help!

I'm trying to install GMATPrepSetup2 on Windows 7 Ultimate, but its giving me an error as follows:
Quote:
>SetupdNew\setup.cpp(135)
PAPP:
PVENDOR:
PGUID:
$
@Windows Vista Service PAck 0 (6000) Non IE/Netscape 43056.47

I've even tried to change the compatibility settings to Windows Vista and Windows XP, but its still not working. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Wow, thanks for the tips, I was trying to figure out how to maximize the effectiveness of the program if I have already taken the practice tests. This is very useful!!

After taking the GMATPrep tests once, I uninstalled the software. I ran the set up again, but it still shows the two test attempted.
Now after reading on this forum I realized it is done differently to reset it.
I cannot find the Exams log now in users/appdata. What do I do to take them again ?

Plz reply. The date is near.

Does anyone know if the GMAT prep test saves the scores somewhere on the HDD?
I took my 1st practice test last year (both parts), but I forgot my score for the first attempt.

No. Once you click pass the score, it's gone for good.

I wrote GMATPrep 1, a few days back. When I was trying to access it again, it shows this message (see Pic0

I have some questions:
What should be my next step? Should I reinstall?
Will I get repeat questions if I do GMATPrep 1 again after I reinstall?

You may/probably will one or two but with having taken only one test, not sure that it will matter.
Try updating the compatibility settings. Right click the shortcut to GMATPrep and choose compatibility tab - sometimes it helps. Also, if you updated your Java, that may be the reason....
