Hello,
Was wondering if any of you'll could help me with this. I'm looking at Fall'16.
Age: 24
WE: 42 months
- Worked for almost 2.5 years in one of India's leading digital marketing agencies. Started my own fashion blog alongside that (it's a passion)
- Quit the firm a year ago and started my own digital marketing startup with my partners. On the verge of starting my second startup this month.
Education: Bachelors in business management
Schooling done in Dubai, College in Mumbai, India. During my bachelors, I was into competitive gaming (DOTA, CS) and travelled within India for the same.
Why MBA? Super passionate about entrepreneurship and creating products to make life easier for individuals and brands. An MBA will help me build a relevant network of the smartest people and will help me with a streamlined approach to building a company. Ultimate objective is to open a school for kids in the future.
I want to do an MBA only from the top 20 or 30 max and preferable ISB or in the US. What do you think my chances are if I manage a score between 670-700.
Any insight would be highly appreciated. Thank you!
mrinmayiThank you for the background info. You have an interesting profile as not many Indian females have digital marketing experience and startup experience. Depending on answers to some questions below, you will have a good shot at the programs you are looking for. Top 20 or 30 should certainly be doable if you put together a strong application. I would lean toward the top 20 depending on your undergrad performance.
- What college did you go to in Mumbai?
- What was your performance at college? The raw score will be fine as I'm familiar with the grading (if you have a relative % vs the class, even better)
- Extra-curriculars during and since college?
If you reach the higher end of your GMAT range, getting a 700, we have a lot more to work with of course. That said you have an interesting profile regardless.
Please send me a note if you want to hear more about how I can help you get into your target schools.
