Re: Calling all ISB PGP Applicants: 2024 Intake Class of 2025 [#permalink]
Hi,
I have a question to all the successful applicants.
I am trying to align my profile based on my post MBA goals and also to increase my chances of getting into Bschools.

I have a career gap of 8 months and now that I have two offers, I want to know which way to go.

My post MBA goal is to join MBB and to become a Consultant. (Preferably Strategy)

1st offer - Social Consultant (ESG), with a new Indian business services firm. This role is attractive because the firm is a start up and expanding faster internationally. Also, being a consultant will help me post MBA.

2nd offer - Program Manager with an international organisation. This role is attractive because it will give me opportunity to work in Asia and MENA. (Also might be a leadership role).

I understand this is not the right question to ask in this platform, but I want some insights.

Further info -
Current GMAT score -690, Target - 730+.

Regards,

Hi all, small query regarding the application process. I did my undergraduate studies from Hong Kong, where my GPA was on a scale of 4.3. However, 4.3 is not available as an option when submitting GPA under education details (4 is the closest figure). I can convert my scores to a 4 scale, but I am concerned that it might be confusing as it will conflict with my transcript, which states GPA on a 4.3 scale. How should I go about addressing this? Additionally, is there an Email ID where I can write to ISB for such queries, and are they responsive? Targetting R2 deadline.

Thank you!

Hey! I PMed you on chat as I assume you are from HKU as well? I applied in R2 and had a similar doubt but I put it as 4 as it was closest at the time. Clearly in the transcripts it will be mentioned anyways.

Your goal is being a consultant in MBB or a management consultant in one of the MBB. I guess MBB do hire specialized consultant and you being in the field of ESG could get into MBBs as ESG specialist after 2 years, schools can ask you then why do you need MBA?

ISB YLP Interview Prep Review - CrackAdmission
Rating: 5/5

I had no prior experience with B-School interviews and needed guidance for the ISB YLP round 3 interview. My interview was scheduled only 4 days after I received the call, so the preparation time was quite less. I spoke to a couple of the consultants before finalizing, and CrackAdmission clearly stood out, both in terms of quality of service and value for money.

Even before enrolling for the services, my consultant Arijit (an ISB Alum) gave me a lot of unexpected insights into the interview process, which completely changed my approach towards preparation. What set this apart for me was the emphasis on not only the questions that can be asked but also the approach you should have during the interview. This made it much easier to handle any unexpected questions or situations in the interview.

I received one-to-one attention and all my questions and doubts were answered very quickly. I also received questions tailored to my profile, apart from the most commonly asked questions. Due to time constraints, I was only able to take one mock, but I would highly recommend taking two mocks to be completely prepared.

Although having no prior interview experience and only 4 days to prepare, I was able to answer all the questions very confidently and my interview went smoothly, credit to Arijit for the same. I would highly recommend the services of CrackAdmission if you are looking for interview preparation and mocks. In case you need any information or help, you can reach out to Arijit at +91 9701215544.

Thank you Sahir. It was a pleasure playing a small part in your journey. Loved the mock interview session we had. Glad that your interview went well :)

I am eligible for two scholarships and each require an essay - can I submit the same essay under both because the reason to apply for the scholarship remains the same?

The questions are

1) Justify by stressing on the need & your family financial condition
2) Justify why you deserve this Scholarship.

I essentially have the same content for both the answers, is it okay to submit the same essay?

Hi everyone,

A question regarding the application (probably round 1 applicants can help)
Do we have to upload a photo wearing business formals as mentioned in instructions or just a normal passport photo is sufficient?
