Do you guys think that Cornell will be sending out more R3 invites next week? I am kind of giving up hope already.

Thanks highwyre237, you rock!

What do most of the students at b-school use - mac or pc? I am a mac, and just wondering if we need a pc?

As a mac user, let me say, I am sad to be gearing up for the transition to PC. Yale includes a new laptop as part of tuition, and I would be surprised if they were alone in that. Cornell may or may not have policies about specs for integration with their network, so make sure to read up on the tech requirements. I was actually about to buy a new macbook, so finding out I'm getting a new computer in August nixed those plans.

Cornell does not give you laptop. You have to buy it for yourself.

Check it out https://www.johnson.cornell.edu/New-Students/Computer-Requirements.aspx

I plan on fighting the power with a Mac and ordering Parallels for those pesky Windows only applications.

Question for R1 and R2 admits. It seems Cornell may accomodate interviewing after the R3 decision date. By doing so, they would give a decision on a rolling basis.

This makes the process rolling and hence I think the sooner one interviews, the better.

Did the R1 and R2 admits face a similar rolling process and did it help to interview earlier?

Thanks.

4 years work Ex (3 year Management consulting, 1 year IT), GMAT 760,
Engineering (bachelor and master). Indian citizen.

I am a bit worried cause I might take another 45-50 days to get the visa etc done. and might miss about 2-3 weeks of classes :(

hmm haven't you already applied for the visa? I think they teach most of the core courses during summer, so you will probably miss a lot. I would check with school first, if they can let you start late.

That's strange though! 4 yrs work ex is at par wth avg wrk ex for 2 yr mba. Did you specifically apply for AMBA?

if you are going to dj, ask around. i asked a few current students about this, it seems both mac and PC will be fine, although mac will not be compatible with a few software add-ons and a few commands. however, someone told me that johnson is updating the email system or something, so the IT will give some more detailed tips later.

How does kroll verify? Do they call reference providers and company HR? I have not told my manager about it and don't want him to find out now, as I am planning on telling him in mid-april as my AMBA programs starts on 5/6

Johnson uses Re Vera not kroll. They will not do anything until after they reach-out to you for payment for the process (i think $75), and you pay. Once that happens I think it takes a few weeks for them to check everything.

thank you, highwyre!

the website says kroll will complete background check before mid-june, but an email i got says re vera will contact me...

just want to get this done asap.

How long does it take Re Vera to contact applicant who submitted a deposit? It has been about 10 days for me.
