Kudos
Now that the acceptances have started to come in and many of us know that we'll be going SOMEWHERE in the fall, it's time to start planning what we're going to do for the next 9-10 months. Since I know that a lot of people plan to take some time off before b-school starts I wanted to suggest organizing a GMAT Club Pre-MBA trip. I would be willing to take the lead on researching places, flights, and accommodations. Suggestions for destinations are welcome. If there is a lot of interest in multiple destinations then we could possibly organize different trips for people to choose.

I think it will be cool to meet some of the people who have supported and comiserated with me through this process. Anyone interested?

"Sure, its only $8,000."

"You dont get it, I could drink for free! I'll dish out little bits of advice like "Try not to sleep with your professors" and in return they will shower me with booze."

"Oh some girl named cheetarah1980"
"Cheetarah?"
"Yea."

I will add Australia to the list of places I'm gonna check out. I will try to compile a list of cities to visit and things to do for each destination that way we'll have an idea of what the trip could look like. Will also keep in mind travel costs and time. We're all kind of spread out so I will check what flight and travel time from NY, Chicago, Delhi, and London. That should give an idea of places a lot of people will be leaving from. Any other things I should keep in mind?

Excellent idea! Are we looking at something around June-July?

So I'm thinking we choose a place that would cost $1K or less for flights. With that in mind I think Europe or South America are the best bets.
