Now that the acceptances have started to come in and many of us know that we'll be going SOMEWHERE in the fall, it's time to start planning what we're going to do for the next 9-10 months. Since I know that a lot of people plan to take some time off before b-school starts I wanted to suggest organizing a GMAT Club Pre-MBA trip. I would be willing to take the lead on researching places, flights, and accommodations. Suggestions for destinations are welcome. If there is a lot of interest in multiple destinations then we could possibly organize different trips for people to choose.

I think it will be cool to meet some of the people who have supported and comiserated with me through this process. Anyone interested?

So I'm thinking we choose a place that would cost $1K or less for flights. With that in mind I think Europe or South America are the best bets.

I'm partial to South America or Pacific Coast of Asia (inc. Australia & NZ)

I'm interested in Brazil but I would probably do a broader trip through the major countries in the continent if possible!

has anyone done a "volunteer" trip prior to MBA? could be an interesting way to spend 3-4 weeks in a country to really learn about the culture, locals, etc rather than sitting around on a beach!
