I also tried to join the discord, but it did not let me join, any tips on that?

I would love to host either zoom or another form of video chatting sessions every evening. I am in Texas so I run on CST time but I could leave the meeting open so people could come and go as they please

Hey everyone,
Can someone please advise the best way to get in touch with members on the study buddy list? I am unable to send the members a PM.

The following is the notification I receive when I attempt contacting members on the list.
"Your account must be older than 7 days and you have at least 5 qualified forum messages older than 3 days to proceed."

Is there a way around the above-mentioned requirements.

Hi everyone! For anyone who was interested, the study group I mentioned in the GMAT Ninja lesson (still going - hour 17 now!), is in my signature. Feel free to join!

Hey mate, you might have an easier time finding folks to study with in our group. We have a good number who are actively studying already. At the moment, we have a weekly group session - but there's no reason people can't arrange more frequent meetings sooner! It will save you the time of building one from scratch! Check out the link in my signature :)

Hi everyone, just joined the group chat, I’m Sabby (Sabrine) I attended the 24h gmat course by Charles last week and I just loved how interactive it was. It was my first live course session and I’ve realized that I did not use GMATClub to its fullest. After nearly a year of on and off prep, I took my gmat exam this morning even though I knew it was just a practice test for me because I only focused on quant and practiced verbal for no more than 4 days, and because it was too late to cancel the appointment. I was pleased and surprised with my Q45 , skipping 4 questions, since I did not know how to perform a division few months ago. However, I bombed my verbal because I couldn’t concentrate on the texts, I could not engage with any of the verbal content, excpt for SC. I was just staring at the text and my brain was frozen. Then, I decided that because it was a practice test for me I’ll just answer anything to get done with the exam. If I knew I could reach Q45, I would have made the effort to concentrate on Verbal and actually answer the questions. I’m torn with regret and at the same time proud of my Quant improvement.

My goal is a 700, 700+ Q47-49 and V39-40V

Hi Sabby, I think it's awesome you've made such an improvement in your Quant. The issue with not really trying in the Verbal I suppose is a good lesson in a way too, I'm sure you won't make that mistake again, even if you feel you bombed a section, because you'll never know what might have been!

If you want to have more interactive study like that, feel free to join the group in my signature :) Our weekly group session is very much like the 24 hour session, (only we don't have Ninja, and the questions are ones that people in the group choose because they are struggling with a topic).

And of course, smaller study sessions can be anything. We've had a few study buddy type things pop up, where someone who is a bit stronger in an area, pairs up with someone who is a bit stronger in a different area, and they spend half the time each helping the other. That has been working really well! (Often others join, and it ends up being 2 or 3 from "either side" all in the session together haha).

Hey mate! You might be able to find people to study with in our study group. The link should be in my signature (or scroll up a few posts).

Mostly the people that have been active are aiming in the 700s. I'm hoping to score 750+, but I'll be sitting it in the next few weeks (wish me luck!).

In case anyone's keen for a group study session tomorrow (Saturday) - check the details at this event link :) Everyone is welcome, and if you share a question from a topic you are struggling with ahead of time, we can tackle it in the session! That's because we normally discuss questions in some detail, rather than answer a lot of questions.

Hello,
I took my first GMAT attempt in July, last year and scored 650. I plan to take another shot at the exam in June and have targeted 710+.
Let me know if someone is in the same situation and want to study together.
