That said, we also strongly recommend getting more work experience under your belt. However, it's never too early to begin the MBA planning process! If you are looking at another master's program rather than an MBA, then you may not need the same level of work experience to be considered a strong candidate. If you do want a second master's, you will have to explain how your previous degree, while helpful, was not sufficient to progress your career, in order to communicate your need for a second one.

Although Im finishing a masters in finance already I want to take a program that is more focused towards financial engineering. Does this make sense? How are my chances of getting admitted?
