Hi jppresa,

Thanks for sharing your profile. Are you interested in the full-time MBA program? On average, full-time MIT MBA students have an average of 5 years of work experience.

That said, we also strongly recommend getting more work experience under your belt. However, it's never too early to begin the MBA planning process! The best thing you can do to improve your candidacy is to plan ahead with the help of a trusted advisor to help you make all of the right decisions in the time leading up to your applications. Our early MBA planning clients have stellar acceptance and scholarship success rates. Find out more here.

For more information on whether now is the right time to apply for an MBA, check out our blog post.

If you are looking at another master's program rather than an MBA, then you may not need the same level of work experience to be considered a strong candidate. If you do want a second master's, you will have to explain how your previous degree, while helpful, was not sufficient to progress your career, in order to communicate your need for a second one.

Best,
Personal MBA Coach

You are currently eligible to apply to the deferred program but not the regular program, and your odds will be better if you have a job lined up.
