Hi,
I have work experience of total 12 years, of which first 4 years is in sales and remaining 8 years in government organization. That is, as an Inspector in the department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs. My profile includes procurement of food grains and storage manangement.
Now, my concern is whether or not my work experience is valid for One year executive program from ISB, IIM OR certain reputed institutions abroad. Kindly help me in figuring it out.

Hi Sumit,

With 12 years of work experience, you really need to select the right b-schools in order to maximize your chances for admission. Your experience in the Government departments could be quite a differentiator and it would be interesting to know the details- what you are doing there and what kind of impact you have had and what you wish to do in the future, after MBA. With this perspective, applying to both Indian and foreign b-schools can make sense. Other than IIMA, C and maybe lower ranked ones, you could evaluate between ISB's PGP and PGP programs. You can also apply to the Fellows programs for senior leaders. Here are a few links: LBS,MIT and Stanford
