A little late in posting, but mark me down as yet another ding. Saw it coming, since I didn't even get an interview, but still a bit disappointing.

Any successful reapplicants have any advice on where to go from here? I had my sights set on Darden this year and didn't even bother applying to other schools (in R1 or R2 that is... TBD on R3.) Not sure where things went wrong.

Congrats to those that got an offer.

Hi Darden applicants! FYI if you're applying to Darden through the Consortium Graduate Study in Management (CGSM), hop over to the Consortium 2012 Forum and Update Your Profile to join the Consortium roll call.

It's simple. Just select your school as "Consortium, the", then indicate which specific institution(s) you'll be applying to, make sure your application cycle is 2011-2012 and the Consortium round (CGSM1 or CGSM2) you be applied in. You can do all of this easily through the handy 'Add to Your Schools' link on the front page of the Consortium 2012 Forum.

We have a special analytics specifically for those candidates applying via Consortium and lots of conversation specific to Consortium candidates and the school(s) they are applying to.

Come and join the conversation! Cheers!

Application submitted! Now the long wait begins. Feels good to have that done, the Darden essay questions had me stumped for quite a while, but I think they came out well in the end.

Application submitted. I can breathe now! ..I think the waiting period is actually more difficult that the application work.

Hey Y'all, congrats to all the admits. I have to agree, I think scholarships are based on fit and experience rather than stats. I received a full scholarship offer with just a 640 GMAT and 3.5 GPA. I attribute this to a very strong interview and lots of strong work/extracurricular experience in addition to military service.

Stay positive and best of luck!

Hi,
I am confused about GPA min and max field in the Darden application. Are they asking for GPA min and max in my transcripts for semesters or GPA min and max in regards to university's grading system. Wouldn't that be 0 and 4.0 then?
Any thoughts?

Thanks.

First, @bigfish - just wanted to reiterate that Darden evaluates all its applicants on a holistic basis that includes a whole host of variables. The school knows that an individual is not just comprised of numbers, so it looks beyond that in terms of its evaluation.

On the other question regarding min and max GPAs - they are asking for min and max in regards to your university's grading system. Since Darden sees a number of applicants from schools all over the world a number of different grading systems, it asks for a range for context. Hope that helps!

Hello everyone,

I just want to sure that the "Additional Comments" box in the "Declarations" section of the app is intended to be Darden's optional essay. Is this correct?

Thank you!

Even I wondered the same. In my university, the scale is 0-10 but if a student gets the degree then the minimum GPA he would've would be 5 because 5 is the passing Grade. So does that make it 5-10? :) I've put it as 0-10. I am not sure how it matters, the entire grading system is mentioned in my transcript anyway.

That's what I am using it for. Just a note to tell why I am not taking recommendation from my current work.

I interpreted it as my highest and lowest semester GPA of my college career. Since I went to a school with a trimester, I told them in the comments that I combined the winter and the spring semesters in my calculations. I can't imagine they'll punish anyone for misinterpreting that piece, but that's how I did it.
