Straight up denied. Pretty cold message on the website too (than again how could it be made nice).
I was surprised that I was not even waitlisted based off the pure odds that one has has after being offered an interview. If I hadn't already gotten into a few others in the top 20 I would be pretty freaked out.
So congrats to those who were even waitlisted. I bet this was a very competitive class.

I wouldn't quit if I were you. Have you considered having an admission consultant review your candidacy?
Kellogg and Darden are very competitive. I wouldn't give up on R2, esp schools ranked 10-20.
Hang in there!

Ding-ding-dong.... not even waitlisted - and I thought I improved 100% after last year's waitlist... I don't understand how the world works anymore, seems like time to quit not just applications, but life altogether.
Congratulations to all who got in. Just reading the experience of those who are awaiting a reply has got me nervous and i'm yet to send my R2 application
I am super disappointed, but I am still 100% committed to getting in, so hopefully I can convince them over the next few weeks/months...
Does anyone know how many people got off the wait-list last year and ended up getting invites? I am sure the number is low, but as long as its at least one, i guess there is still hope...
Good to know that I am not the only one. I saw in the other forums that they make decisions right upto the decision day deadline. I am really hoping they are still working on making more decisions.

Is anyone still waiting to hear from Darden for R1 ? My application still says submitted. I interviewed on Dec 7th
Me too. log in and out ten times and have not seen anything other than
"MBA: Your application has been submitted. Thank you for applying to Darden."
One of my sorority sisters is a 1st year at Darden now. She was waitlisted R3 and got the call in the summer. If she can get in off the waitlist, I'm positive that many of you can convert a R1 WL into an admit. Good luck!
When I got my call yesterday I was told that I need to tell Darden my decision by the end of feb. How do you handle this given that round 2 decisions are not released until march in most cases?

You send the deposit to lock up a seat. If you get into a school that you prefer in R2, then you let them know you're moving in a different direction. It's just business and it happens every year. Darden would be disappointed you didn't come, but the school will move on and pull someone from the WL if they feel the need.
