Sloan 2012 - Calling MBA All Applicants

Checked my page in online application portal.

Although I checked as you mentioned, correct email address was punched in. When my application and recommendation letters were submitted, I received the notice at my gmail account.

I went through the official mba admission website, too. It says, "**Decisions will be released early for some candidates who will be denied admission without an interview." Deadline already passed for R2, and what's going on?

I just wonder how everyone here who was notified of final decision got a notice from Sloan. Definitely not expecting admission since I was not invited for interview yet.

@jacobychoi, I received both my interview and decision notices by email. No phone calls ever, possibly because I'm overseas.

Is anyone else waiting on a decision for Sloan R2? I've called the office the last 2 morning only to hear that they are "still working on it". I feel like I'm getting the run-around. We are now 2 days past the decision date. What the heck is going on?

Have any round 2 wait list applicants received additional details on next steps? The initial letter said we'd receive information by the 6th. Just want to make sure I'm not missing something!

I haven't received any info yet either.

I think i will take on Sloan's offer and pay the deposit. The thing is that they still haven't mentioned anything about scholarships yet, so I am afraid that if I pay the deposit they won't have any incentives to offer me anything since I would attend anyways. The only reason I want to pay the deposit is to be able to enter the first on-campus housing lottery round.

What are other R2 admits doing regarding this?

Has anyone from R1 sloan matriculated Admits got a notification that the background check is over? It's been a month since they started my check but I still have no info whatsoever. They contacted both my university and my current employer already. Just wondering....

I was contacted by the verification company to help them get a hold of my past employers. After I provided all the info, I followed up on the status and this is what I was told:

"There are different associates or managers who may work on your file from employment to academics, etc., on behalf of your school. If I have contacted you regarding employment verification, I may get back to you with some follow-up. It is not our policy, however, to convey to each student the overall status of the total verification, but the university's upon completion for their students. In general, if you are not hearing from us, you may assume that all is going along well."

Thank you so much for the answer! Good to know! I thought maybe there's a problem with my employment history or something. I guess I should stop worrying, but that's just so hard when you get this far

Hi, for guys that were waitlisted. Do you guys hear anything back from Sloan after sending in additional materials? anything at all? like a quick confirmation of receipts? I've sent an update email to them but not sure if they have received it at all.

Has anyone on the waitlist heard anything further?

When is the deposit deadline for R2 admits? I'm planning to send my update just before then so it's fresh in their mind.

May 25. Are you getting an extension from your other admitted schools or submitting a deposit to at least hold a spot? Good luck with Sloan!!!

Thanks; I've already put in a deposit at another school, so I'm going to hold on as long as I can (i.e. until I need to get an apartment and pay tuition)

I was thinking the same thing for my update letter. Similarly, I am putting a deposit on my second choice but keeping my fingers crossed for Sloan.
