Got the invite! Can anyone share what percentage of applicants are interviewed and what percentage of interviewees are admitted? Apologies if this has been asked before!

i was going to ask the same question. i hvnt seen the answer, on this thread at least. someone implied that 50% of invites get in? they said that of the 10 people who apply for each seat (500 seats?), 4 people are given invites, and of those, 2 are admitted.

anyway, i wld really like to know the numbers so i can understand and prepare to finish the last phase.

Honestly, I don't think knowing this number matters. MBA admissions isn't like a job interview. It's not as though everyone is on the same footing and those who nail the interview get in and those who don't get denied. There's no way for you to know where you stand in comparison to other applicants. You prepare for the interview the same way no matter what. There is a sticky thread in this forum about interview prep. It's really good and thorough. It was my guid for interview prep last year. Do the best you can in the interview and the chips will fall where they will. Best of luck.

Good point. The overall success rate post-interview has no impact on an individual's success rate. That said, knowing admission is within reach is always a nice motivation, especially when there's a positive number attributed to it! :)

Any reason no one is taking March 9th?
Does it hurt the candidacy to interview on the last date?

Received an invite this morning. I'd totally forgotten about Booth's mid-decision deadline, so it came as a nice surprise!

king! it is about 50%.

Try not to read too much into this number. This is the average number. Your demographics (ethnicity, gender) and Industry will determine the % for your pool.

Awesome! I was hoping you would get an invite. The percentage of applicants who get interviewed varies between 40-45% and about 50% of that group gets admitted. But as others have already mentioned, this is for the overall applicant pool. I wouldn't worry too much about the numbers at this point. Once you get interviewed, your application is evaluated again, so the interview is only a part of the evaluation.

Got an invite! :-D I'm doing March 2nd also, and I'll be going to the student lunch that day (not the tour; I went on one the last time I visited). Anyone else going?

It looks like the invite e-mails came out a bit earlier, at around 8:56 central time while the ding e-mails went out a bit after 9:00.

Slow on the update but invited as well!!
@ AspiringCan, I too picked March 9 as my interview date, I wanted to time it so that I can participate in Chicago Booth Live on March 8. I don't see why there would be a difference one way or another whether you interview on the first or the last day.

You're like my left-coast brother! I'm debating the exact same thing. I've never been to Chicago in my life, so I'm thinking about making a weekend out of it (assuming I can get the time off I would need).

Got the invite!

I've already scheduled my interview for Friday the 1st. Lucky for me, my current project ends on the 28th, so I can make sure the 1st is a free day.

I've already booked my flights. Still debating on what hotel to book and whether or not I should rent a car.
