I was still up the last night when the invite came through. While I was contemplating on slots as they clashed with my blow-off-the-steam vacation, the slots were full.
Amidst the Stanford-approaching selectivity, Sloan appears to be generous toward Asian applicants. :wink:

That does seem to be the case, but we can never be sure. There could have been (probably were) a larger contingent of Asian applicants, leading to more invitations. At this point, we could super-analyze everything and still be wrong - it is fun though :) !

Yep, wrote them. I'm assuming they didn't ACTUALLY send out more interview invites than they had slots, and that this will be fixed pretty soon.

Mumbai interview slot shortage fixed. They've opened up some more slots on March 23rd.

Thats great! Looks like it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, since you got weekend slots opened out - unless of course you'd rather have done the interview on a weekday...

"The MIT Sloan MBA Program Admissions Committee has completed its evaluations. The exceptionally strong competition prevents us from including you among those admitted at this time. We can, however, offer you a place on our waiting list.

Each year some candidates who have accepted offers of admission find it necessary to change their plans. The varied nature of these changes makes it impossible to predict whether a place in the entering class might become available before next May, but you can be sure that we recognize the importance of time in your planning. Anyone has any idea what is the approximate acceptance rate once invited to interview?
