Thank god I read these posts before I had an opportunity to check my status this morning. Seeing people going nuts about their status change made me not want to look mine. The last time I checked was yesterday 10pm CST, and I won't look at it again until I get a call or receive an email from Kellogg. I'd hate to find myself wondering whether a status change means I'm in, out or WL. I think the antecipation is driving some people crazy, when the truth of the matter is that the decision is already made. It's just not worthed losing your cool over this. When Tuck released their decisions last week, I was losing it too, and it made me no good; I got WL, and now still have to wait some more. Relax guys, good luck, and hope for the best! Btw, I agree that congratulating people here based on nothing, really, just doesn't do nobody any good. Congratulate them after the call!

Guys, from my own experiences, DO NOT keep reading this forum like crazy. This doesn't worth it.

My story:
I was waiting for a result from another school last week and I kept following the forum for the entire week, even knowing that the decision would come on Thursday. Because of that I failed to finish a minor detail of a project in my job and everybody noticed. This was horrible.

This week, though, I turned off the cellphone Internet, stopped watching this site every minute and things couldn't have been better. I feel less anxious, job is fine and we know that this won't change the decision anyway. Why would that matter if somebody else knows a supposedly what exact minute? Does this "save of time" worth your lower productivity at work?

For me, it didn't worth it. Really.

This speculation is awesome!!! Like true business people, we analyze every situation! I love it!

I agree, the “unable to determine your status” (I’m in this boat) is a really bad indication!

Here is my reasoning (based on literally nothing but speculation/logic)….Once the status is changed, the system only allows them to show the status or not so if they were to change the accepted candidates to “accepted” it would show their status before a phone call (once the statuses are released). To get around that issue, they update the dings/WL, then leave the accepted decisions unchanged so when they flip the switch to allow us to see the results it shows the ding/WL but the accepted candidates screens remain unchanged (so they have the chance to communicate the news via phone).

In other news, here's a picture of a cat wearing a sombrero, sitting next to a tequila bottle because why not

This speculation is literally ridiculous. Reminds me of a few weeks ago when some dude posted in the Wharton thread a formula to determine each applicant's remaining chances of getting an interview invite. MAN that pissed me off. Have a drink, or go for a run, or watch a movie, or do your work and wait the 12 freaking hours (now even less) until decisions are released. In other news, that cat with the jose is hilarious!

We're all such business people - trained to try to understand patterns from data and extrapolate. Isn't that what the stock market really is anyhow?

Looks like the calls are starting to Asia - we'll all know soon enough!
