Do you think that the essay questions for Class of 2016 will be posted next week or in two weeks?

Not sure if you're asking someone in particular, but I do. I think 1, 2, maybe 3 weeks. It's been right around this time (early to mid July) the past few years.

Re: Tuck (Dartmouth): Class of 2016- Calling all applicants! [#permalink]
Question about visiting:

So from what I understand, I can only visit the campus (just visit, not interview) during the Spring semester. Since that has passed by, and I would like to apply this fall for Fall 2014, will my only visit then be an applicant initiated interview? If so, is this viewed differently (less favorably) than those who visiting campus in the Spring and then held an applicant intiated interview on campus the following fall? Thanks in advance.

Hey air22x, good question! Tuck understands that it's an out of the way place to visit and if you take advantage of the applicant initiated interview, you're being proactive and showing interest. There's nothing wrong with making that your first visit - going twice in one year isn't expected.

A couple of pointers for the applicant-initiated interview: Make sure you've drafted your career goals/why Tuck essay and interview before the application deadline if you can. They'll match your interview to your application, so it's good if those two things jive. Also, since it'll be your first visit, it's probably to your advantage to schedule your interview after you've had a chance to visit a class, eat lunch with students, and tour Tuck - this will give you more talking points for when you interview. Good luck!

In for EA. I am a reapplicant who got a feedback offer last year (given to <10% applicants) and hoping for a better outcome this time around.

I know! So many of the other ones are out now, starting to feel impatient to at least get a look at them. Good advice earlier to start brainstorming ideas for general essays. Ie getting a good grasp of ST/LT goals. Just polishing up the motivation for applying is valuable and will probably translate well the essays!

ha. Hardly. I'm pretty green ;)

Bigger news though - Essays are out:

Please respond fully but concisely to the following essay questions. There are no right or wrong answers. We encourage applicants to limit the length of their responses to 500 words for each essay. Please double-space your responses.

1. Why is an MBA a critical next step toward your short- and long-term career goals? Why is Tuck the best MBA fit for you and your goals and why are you the best fit for Tuck?

2. Tell us about your most meaningful collaborative leadership experience and what role you played. What did you learn about your own individual strengths and weaknesses through this experience?

3. Describe a circumstance in your life in which you faced adversity, failure, or setback. What actions did you take as a result and what did you learn from this experience?

4. (Optional) Please provide any additional insight or information that you have not addressed elsewhere that may be helpful in reviewing your application (e.g., unusual choice of evaluators, weaknesses in academic performance, unexplained job gaps or changes, etc.). Complete this question only if you feel your candidacy is not fully represented by this application.

5. (To be completed by all reapplicants) How have you strengthened your candidacy since you last applied? Please reflect on how you have grown personally and professionally.
