Most definitely! I am from ATL so that made the process easier. The staff at Goizueta is super nice so that helped a lot too. We'll see if I have any luck!

So I interviewed this week and it was really conversational and relaxed. Questions were pretty standard, lower concentration on my actual work experience than I expected. Has anyone else interviewed? It'd be interesting to know how the process went for others. Best of luck!

Gianfranco2014 and CMcAboy-
Guys,when did you submit your applications?

Are these interviews self-initiated or else?

I have not submitted my application yet. The first deadline is in early October. Goizueta does allow you to do a self-initiated interview regardless of the round in which you apply.

That's great...! But I guess this is only on-campus not off-campus. Right?

So,prior to submitting the application this takes place. After submitting the application you only wait for a decision.No further interview. Right?

What are the prerequisites for this self-initiated interview,if any?

@Gianfranco2014- I'd appreciate your thoughts on the same and it'd be great if you could share a bit detail on your Interview experience. As I see, you got this interview after you submitted the application, so I'd assume it was not exactly like pre-submission Interview..!

As far as I know, there are no prerequisites for the interview. You just have to register on their website. I believe all the interviews are on-campus, but I'm not 100% sure. Are you in the states? If so, I would suggest taking advantage of the self-initiated interview as it shows that you are actually interested in the school. If you are not in the states, they won't hold it against you if you do not come for a self-initiated interview.

I'm not in the states? So, I'm afraid if they'll allow one for International candidates!

Can you please confirm whether this can be done even without GMAT score?

You may need to reach out to the adcoms with that question. As far I know, you can do a self-initiated interview without a GMAT score, but you will need to submit an official GMAT score before the application deadline. In addition, I believe self-initiated interviews are only available on campus.

I don't know if you will be able to do one in your own country. Honestly, I doubt they offer this, but it wouldn't hurt to reach out to the adcoms with this question.

@bagdbmba
I submitted my app early in August and scheduled my self-initiated interview 2 weeks later. So yes, I submitted and then interviews; however, it is not a requirement to even start an app before you open interview. As CMaAboy said, I don't think this option is open internationally but the staff is extremely accommodating so maybe they are able to skype with you even if it's not considered an official "interview"

As far as the actual interview, as I said on my previous post, it was very conversational. I got questions on my professional background, why and MBA, why Emory and some q's about my undergrad activities. All very standard. I don't think there's a better way to prepare than just be honest and take it as meeting a new person. Best of luck!

Well actually (and keep in mind I'm an American living abroad in China), if Emory goes to your city for an info session, they'll ask you to send in your resume and they'll select a group of people from all of the people who sent in their resumes to interview the day after the info session. I've been invited for an interview and I've started a Consortium application but I haven't sent it in yet so technically I've been invited for an interview without sending in my application.
