Indian applicants get a TOEFL waiver.. please check website. its clearly mentioned. Also, it is mentioned that a TOEFL waiver may not be requested. However, the undergraduate transcripts should be in English.

You are not required to submit an English Language Test Score if your undergraduate degree is from an institution in which English is the language of instruction AND you work in a country where commerce is generally conducted in English (for Example: India, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Ghana, Nigeria and Uganda). No TOEFL waiver is required, please do not request one.

Is there a place in the application where I can select the medium of instruction during undergraduate education to be English, so that I qualify for TOEFL waiver?

No there is no such option in the application. Indian applicants anyways get a TOEFL waiver.

DeeMBA - How do you know that "Indian applicants anyways get a TOEFL waiver" at Goizueta? Did you have any conversation with the Adcom on this or is there any link on the website that explicitly states the same?

If so, can you please share the relevant info on the forum ? It'd simply substantiate your statement and in turn, will help fellow applicants going forward.

Hi ,

Its mentioned on their website. see below -

"You are not required to submit an English Language Test Score if your undergraduate degree is from an institution in which English is the language of instruction AND you work in a country where commerce is generally conducted in English (for Example: India, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Ghana, Nigeria and Uganda). In addition , I am an indian applicant & I have not given TOEFL (and not requested for a waiver either ). Yet, school considers my application complete. Hope this helps :)

Can the recommendations be submitted 2 to 3 days after the deadline? Supervisor is on a business trip.

Okay. I will submit my application today or tomorrow, and I've yet to come up with anything called OPUS.
Is this page accessible only after I submit the application?

Also, how about extra curricular activities?
I'm from India, and none of my extra curriculars fall under the set of options the form has.

Suggestions?

Hi , anyone done with the interview ? Please share your interview experience

I interviewed on campus a couple of months ago. It was very conversationial, no curve balls or any specific behavioral questions. Just the usual:

- walk me through your resume
- why mba?
- why emory?
- how do you want to get involved?

I also got a lot of q's on specifics on my job experience and such. It's really relaxed and standard from my experience.

Hi Nishant! A few quick questions, please?
1) The OPUS page is accessible only after I submit the application, or even now? (I am planning to hit 'submit' in a few hours, just in time for the 20th Nov deadline)
2) How did you categorize your extra-curriculars according to the predetermined choices that they have under there? I felt those choices were pro-US and felt vague for my activities (I'm from India too).

Thanks in advance!

Hey brother!

1) after submit
2) I choose community service, (sorry dont remember the other choices) for my significant NPO work. Didnt have anything significant for collegiate work, personally I prefer to put fewer but valuable activities, my logic is : they aint got much time to review so quality and concision is the key :)
Hope this helps!
Cheers

Hi all,

Completed the application submission yesterday on 19th Nov, 2013.
I have a doubt, when does one get confirmation e-mail from GBS about application submission. Also when do I get OPUS ID?

I got an email confirmation about my application fee payment, where does this reflect on the online application page?

Thanks
