I have a new item in the to-do list: 'Interview' with status as 'Initiated'
Does this mean that I have been selected for an interview?
I think that is the default setting.
yes it is
Yes, correct, got another email from Emory informing that my application is complete with all required materials. Now it will be reviewed for an interview invitation.

Hello, I received an email on 17th confirming that they have received all material for my application. However on 19th , I received another email saying -'thank you , for starting your application '. Is anyone else facing this problem ?
Also ,if I applied on 10th and the school sent me a confirmation email on 17th , will I be considered in round 1 or 2 ?

If you submitted your COMPLETE app on or before the deadline of any round then it'll be considered for that round...ATB _________________

I have a question about Goizueta's first essay:
"What is your short-term career goal and why is an MBA from Goizueta an important next step toward that goal? If your initial career plans are not realized, what else are you considering?"
Anyone else discuss long term goals in this essay? Or should we focus on short term goals?

Hey d^2,
I am no expert, but my take on this essay is that you don't have to talk about your long term goal, unless it ties into the "why" part of the question.
Also - During my interview, the interviewer did not ask me what my long term goals were. If they don't explicitly ask for them in the essays or interview, maybe they do not prioritize long term goals.

Hi everyone. I am a current student at Goizueta -(shameless plug)- Amazing camaraderie, ridiculously smart (much smarter than me), happy, helpful, fun, and with an Alumni network that isn't as large as others, but the people ALWAYS respond. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
In reference to the career goals section. They want you to have a plan, not just getting an MBA to have more options. The MBA is suppose to be a means to achieving a goal, rather than a delay until you make a 'real' decision. The process should help you decide what you want to pursue. This idea of knowing what you want out of the MBA is not just for show; Immediately when you enter campus companies will begin recruiting you and already there is a large portion of my classmates with internship offers. Check out Emory statistics on this, it is unreal, and shows when you are on campus.

Did anyone else notice a missing essay question? I wrote a draft for the below essay question, but this question is no longer displayed on Goizueta's essay page:
Quote:
2. Share one of your most significant professional accomplishments. Describe your precise role in this activity and how it has helped to shape your management skills. Please limit your response to 500 words.

After a closer look, it looks like that essay question was from last year's essays
