As a native speaker who hopes to do better in Quant, OY VEY! How is it possible to score a 50Q and STILL not be in the 90%?

I do not think its a happy situation for anybody, because the adcoms are now interested in the balanced score...Cases of rejection applicants with 700+, by the help of just verbal or quant singly, are increasing.

I just took the gmat 4 days ago and my unofficial score was 640.

When i receive my official report in ~two weeks, will my official report give me a lower score now that the Quant percentiles have changed?

Nope,your fficial scores will remain the same, because it depicts the level when you took the test. Moroever, the new percentile came into force from july 1st......so do not worry.
