Yeah, but I guess that today is unlike every other day.
I really can't understand why it takes them so long to send interview invitations/dings ?
Harvard has twice the amount of applicants and they gave back answers over a month ago

I mean, it is pretty clear that there are some dramatic differences between the type of "application experience" MIT wants people to have compared to those of other top schools. I cannot imagine I am the only one who has picked up on this...

I don't mean this in a negative way at all...
But, the super tricky essay prompts, the letter of recommendation for yourself, the specific resume template so you have to do a separate one for Sloan, and then this bit about how invites are released. I don't think it is set up to be very user friendly. I think it is meant to be much more rigorous to thin out the field of applicants to those who are really serious...
It may be a better way to go, but I think it is this way by design.

Maybe because MIT actually reads your essays and profile vs HBS that profiles based on gpa/gmat?

Just a guess. The number of readers seem to be the same.

Did not get an email, but logged into MIT application - there is a decision (reject) letter there.
