There will be invites on Friday. But from my talk with admissions, there will only be a few, most have gone out already. Still hope though.

If that's true, with only 18 interview invitations posted here to date extended to R2 applicants, this must be a particularly undistinguished cohort. Either that or they're slow to update their status.

I don't have my schools listed (so I don't affect the count much either way), but I received an invite on Tuesday for So Cal.

Don't count on gmatclub count. Only a small fraction of MIT applicants even know that this forum exist. I guess that whoever doesn't get an invite in one hour can join me in dingland :(

Sure, but looking at round 1 on the first page, we see that 340 people applied and around 150 got interviews and 50 were admitted (or is it that 100 were interview and 50 were admitted, not 100% sure how to read it). Still, even accounting for the lower number applying for round 2, and a reduced Round 2 acceptance rate, 18 or 20 or even 30 interview invites is suspiciously low. The numbers are exactly in line with 2016 for Round 1, and the people applying to Round 2, but they had 50+ people invited to interview.

I guess we'll find out tomorrow, but to people invited to interview - are there still many time slots open to pick from?

I guess we'll find out tomorrow, but to people invited to interview - are there still many time slots open to pick from?

There are 248 self-identified GMAT Club members who applied to Sloan in R2. There have been 18 invitations extended, of which 3 have changed their status to Interviewed from Invited to Interview (those are mutually exclusive terms - whereas Admitted, Waitlisted and Denied are not mutually exclusive of the interview categories - you can tell by doing the math).

Let's look at history.

In the Class of 2016 there were 242 GMAT Club applicants in R2. Of those 62 were extended interview invitations - 26%.

In the Class of 2015 there were 172 GMAT Club members in R2. Of those 38 were extended interview invitations - 22%.

So let's average the two at 24%. You would think that about 60 interview invitations to the GMAT Club R2 cohort would be extended. We're way off from that - in a "statistically significant" amount.

I think the question about the number of time slots still open is an excellent one - presuming that when you make your interview appointment you can see that.

I dont see mass invites at clearadmit as well.
Hopefully they will extend invite period for one more week, ready to wait another painful week for that invite! :-)

Bruh. I'm losin it bruh.

But yeah looks like no waves went out today. In fact, seems like the only wave we've seen in the history of R2 was on Tuesday. I refuse to believe they are done with waves and that we're mostly on track to dingville tomorrow. There's just got to be more to this.

I feel like there has to be another wave coming out, otherwise they would have to be crazy selective (like Stanford level) with this round. But if I get a ding tomorrow, at least it seems I'll be in good company.

I know right. I have rockstar applicant friends who haven't heard a peep from sloan. If we're all on the train to dingville, it's a pretty damn distinguished train.

No matter what, the Sloan car on the train to Dingville is definitely First Class travel.
